Frosler On His Wondergoal Vs Vitesse

Kaizer Chiefs right-back Reeve Frosler has spoken about his wondergoal against Eerste Divisie side Vitesse Arnhem on Tuesday saying someone dared him to shoot and he indulged.

Frosler missed the majority of the previous campaign owing to an injury suffered against Cape Town City in March this year.

Chiefs are on a pre-season tour in the Netherlands where they will play five matches ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

The friendly against Vitesse was the first time the 27-year-old played since his recovery, with Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi fielding him at left-back in the first half.

Nabi selected two completely different line-ups in each half of the encounter, with Frosler starting alongside Aden McCarthy, Inacio Miguel and new signing Thabiso Monyane at the back.

And Frosler scored his side’s only goal, handing Amakhosi the lead with a stunner in the 37th minute before Vitesse turned the game in the second half.

“Someone said, ‘shoot!” Frosler told Chiefs’ media team. “And I thought, ‘okay, let’s do it’.”

Amakhosi’s next pre-season friendly is against FC Utrecht on Friday, and it will again be live streamed on the cub’s YouTube channel.
