Orlando Pirates Olisa Ndah has expressed his excitement after he made his African Cup of Nations debut during Nigeria’s 2-0 win over victory over Guinea-Bissau.
Ndah was called up to the Super Eagles’ AFCON squad after his fine performances with the Buccaneers in the first half of the season.
On Wednesday, the 23-year-old only made his second appearance for his home country, replacing Tyronne Ebuehi after 76 minutes against Guinea-Bissau.
Ndah says he is delighted about representing his country in the big tournament.
“I feel very happy, I was really excited,” he told club’s media department.
“It’s a very big deal for me. It’s always a big deal when a player represents their country.
“I am so glad to have gotten this opportunity, words cannot express how I feel.”
Ndah and his side have won all three group stage matches, and are now set to face Tunisia in the round of 16 on Sunday, 23 January.
