Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi says it is high time that they started making themselves and the Amakhosi supporters happy.
The Nigerian International was speaking ahead of Chiefs game away against AmaZulu on Wednesday, and the shot-stopper says they have to go into the game mentally strong.
Akpeyi says the players have let themselves down this season, but they have the quality to turn things around.
“So far I think we’ve not been coming right with decisions in game,” Akpeyi told Chiefs media, “But I don’t want to go into tactical matters now.”
“What I want to say is mentally right now, we should be strong going into our next game.”
“We have quality players who we rely upon, but for some time we have disappointed ourselves.”
“But in the next game against AmaZulu, we are taking the pain into AmaZulu. It’s high time that we started making ourselves happy, and it’s high time we start making the fans happy as well.”
