DStv Premiership outfit Cape Town City have already said goodbye to a host of players this window, and there could be more exits looming before the window shuts.
Word reaching iDiski Times is that there could still be a January exit for Mozambican defender Edmilson Dove.
Dove was one of City’s stalwarts in past seasons, but since the arrival of Terrence Mashego, and being out for almost a year after surgery, the 27-year-old has seen limited game time.
While Dove has over 100 caps for the club, this season he has featured just nine times in all competitions, while last season his injury limited him to just two appearances.
A source close to the player said that Dove’s future is being discussed, and there is a possibility that he could still leave during this window, if an offer comes in for him in time, or if the player and the club agree on a mutual termination.
City have already sold Surprise Ralani, Fagrie Lakay, Abdul Ajagun and Abbubaker Mobara this month, while players like Shane Roberts, Douglas Mapfumo and Marc Anderson have been sent out on loan.
Dove is not the only City player linked to an exit, with speculation still hanging over the heads of players like Thabo Nodada, Taariq Fielies and Thato Mokeke, who have all previously been linked to other clubs.
While the club is yet to officially announce any new signings, Mogamat May has joined the club from lower-league Hanover Park, there is good news in the goalkeeping department, with Darren Keet set to be fit in the next month.
