Lamontville Golden Arrows and Kaizer Chiefs confirmed their starting lineups for this afternoon’s DStv Premiership encounter at the Mpumalanga stadium.
Arrows have continued with their fine form despite Vusi Vilakazi leaving the side a few months ago. The KwaZulu-Natal-based team has been phenomenal, winning five of their last six matches including booking a place into the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinals.
Mabhuti Khenyeza is yet to lose a game since he took over as sole head coach. They’ve scored 12 goals and conceded four.
The Amakhosi are with a new man in charge and are expecting things to be positive following a poor start to the season. Chiefs recently parted ways with Molefi Ntseki and roped in Calvin Johnson on interim basis.
This is Johnson’s first match I’m charge. Amakhosi won three, lost five and drew two, they sitting eighth in the standings.
In head to head history, Chiefs have won more games against Arrows. In their last 20 meetings, Chiefs won 11, four meetings ended as draws and Arrows won five.
