Kearyn Baccus has warned Baroka that the Kaizer Chiefs players are ready for battle when the two teams meet in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday.
Baccus, who recently recovered from a slight injury, says he is happy to be back, as it was frustrating watching results not go Chiefs way from the sidelines.
“Yeh, I think it’s a part of football, there’s always going to be a bit of injuries, here and there, lucky I wasn’t out for too long, only three weeks,” Baccus told Chiefs media department.
“It was a little bit disappointing seeing the boys not get the best results, and you couldn’t do anything about it, but it’s life, and we move on, and I’m happy we’re getting results at the moment.”
Baccus adds that Chiefs haven’t forgotten that it was against Baroka in the last game of last season, that they let the league title slip away, and that result will motivate the team going into this one.
“You know they ended up beating us last season in the last game, which was a bit disappointing. So, I think we’ve got a little bit of, you know, how do I say, a lit bit of disappointment and hurt, which we need to take into this game, which will help us to drive and battle, and hopefully get a win.”
