Sudan has just pulled off an unexpected victory at home against the Black Stars of Ghana to smash group C wide open.
Sudanese Striker Mohamed Rahman scored a last minute header past Orlando Pirates Goalkeeper Richard Ofori to give his country a 1-0 victory in an African Cup of Nations Qualifier.
Ghana enjoyed most of the ball possession with players such as Jordan Ayew and Mubarak Wakaso imposing their will but failing to ultimately convert their chances.
It was on precisely the final minute of the game that the hosts gave themselves a new life in the group with a smash and grab.
The picture of the group after four matches is as follows: Ghana lead the pack with 9 points, South African have the same number of points but have an inferior head-to-head record, having lost to Ghana earlier in the group stages. Sudan are in third place with 6 points, and Sao Tome as expected are in the last spot having lost all their matches.
The top two will qualify for Cameroon 2021
