Bafana Drop In FIFA Rankings

Bafana Bafana have dropped in the latest FIFA rankings after their defeat to Ghana this month.

Hugo Broos’ team had been writing positive headlines but their latest defeat to the Black Stars, which is being investigated by FIFA, has seen them fall two places in the latest rankings.

South Africa had climbed into 66th position worldwide, but now fell back to 68th.

In addition, Bafana have dropped from 12th into 13th on the African continent, Congo DR overtaking Mzansi among the CAF spots.

Senegal have once again remained the highest-ranked CAF nation in 20th spot, followed by Morocco in 28th and Tunisia in 29th – with the two latter switching places.

Belgium still sit ahead Brazil at the top of the world-wide ranking, followed by France and England.
