Broos – I’m Not Scared To Lose My Job

South Africa national team head coach Hugo Broos says that he is not afraid to lose his job in case Bafana Bafana would be beaten by Ghana today.

Broos was addressing the media in Ghana ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers clash against the Black Stars later today.

The Belgian tactician believes that every football coach is always aware of how the teams work with them as coaches when there are good results.

“You spoke already with the president of SAFA (laughs)? He told you that this will save my job, okay, can I ask you a question? You’ve talked already with the president of the Ghana Federation? What shall happen with the coach,” Broos asked jokingly.

“No this is our job. Don’t think that I’m anxious now, and I’m afraid if tomorrow we lose and we should not be qualified that I will lose my job.

“Maybe, you know in football, coaches go and coaches are coming, this is our job. So, I’m not at all, not at all afraid to lose my job tomorrow.”

Broos has also assured South Africans that they will be happy after the game, as he believes that the team will get the maximum points.

“I hope that the people of South Africa for the moment are very happy with the results of Bafana Bafana and I hope that they will be more happy tomorrow at nine o’clock that we are qualified for the next round,” he added.

“Because maybe South African football deserves it to be once again on the really the highest level.

“And again, like I said, a few minutes ago, it would be a boost for South African football if we can succeed. But again, I know the opponent of tomorrow also it will not be easy for us.”
