Broos Unhappy With Bafana Performance
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos was unhappy with his side’s performance despite their 1-0 win over Zimbabwe on Thursday.
The Belgian tactician had made three changes for the game against the Warriors, bringing Keagan Dolly, Percy Tau and Thibang Phete into the starting XI.
Bafana got the result on the night after Teboho Mokoena scored with a header following an in-pinch perfect cross by Keagan Dolly, but couldn’t add to the scoreline.
As a consequence, Broos was disappointed with his side’s performance, saying on another day they could’ve dropped points.
“First of all, I’m a happy coach today because we won, that was the most important thing tonight,” Broos told reporters.
“On the other side, there is a coach that is not satisfied with the performance today. I think we played against an opponent who was more aggressive than we, won more duels than we, there was more movement in the team.
“Real I didn’t recognise my team tonight. I don’t know why.
“If we were a little but unlucky today, we’d have lost points. They could’ve scored tonight. We had a few chances, but if you are unlucky, we could’ve played a draw.
“Again, happy that we won but not satisfied with the performance.”
The 1-0 win means, Bafana need to collect a win or draw in Ghana on Sunday or they will be overtaken by the Black Stars on the log.
