Ghana Name Starting XI For Ethiopia
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevic has named his starting XI for the Black Stars important 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
The game will kick off at 15:00 at Orlando Stadium this afternoon and Ghana could overtake South Africa on the Group G log with a win.
A victory for the Black Stars, who are the visiting team in this clash after Ethiopia moved the match to South Africa, would put pressure on Bafana ahead of their match against Zimbabwe at 21:00 tonight.
Ghana could move from nine points to 12 after five games, which would be two more than South Africa have after their first four matches so far.
Rajevic replaced Charles Akonnor after the Black Stars’ 1-0 defeat in South Africa earlier in the campaign and collected two wins in his first two games in charge.
The coach selected a strong starting line-up, including the likes of Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey, Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew and his brother Andre Ayew, while experienced midfielder Mubarak Wakaso only finds himself on the bench.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, who scored two of Ghana’s last four goals, is absent after picking up an injury with the Premier League club.
Here is Ghana’s complete XI:
Jojo Wollacott, Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman, Joseph Aidoo, Daniel Amartey, Baba Idrissu, Jordan Ayew, Kudus Mohammed, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Andre Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana
