FIFA have announced their ruling in the controversy around Bafana Bafana’s 1-0 defeat to Ghana.

The South African Football Association had lodged an official complaint after some questionable refereeing decisions by Senegalese official Maguette Ndiaye, including the penalty which lead to the only goal in the match.

FIFA had acknowledged that they received the complaint and were looking into the matter and have now confirmed their decision, as per Sunday World.

“The protest lodged by South Africa has been declared inadmissible by the Disciplinary Committee as it did not meet the requirements foreseen under art. 46 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 14 of the Regulations of the Preliminary Competition of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The decision is subject to appeal.”
