Hugo Broos has explained that he had a meeting with Goodman Mosele ahead of his recall to the Bafana Bafana squad.
The Orlando Pirates midfielder was not able to honour his first call-up by Broos last year, with the coach being very upset at the time.
However, then already Broos had explained that he was open to giving the midfielder a second chance.
He’s now come through on his words and recalled the Buccaneers midfielder, saying he’s had a talk with the player and things from last year are now in the past.
“I had a meeting with Goodman and with coach Ncikazi,” Broos said during his squad announcement on SABC Sport.
“And it was a good meeting. So for me, problem is closed. And there he is, he had to be there already in October, but we don’t talk about it anymore.
“So now I saw how he’s playing in Orlando Pirates and I was happy with his performances. So okay, it’s up to him, you can’t – I don’t know all of the words in English – but you can’t go on because there is a problem, you have to solve the problem.
“So we had the problem in October, okay, and I was very angry on him. Very, because I couldn’t understand that the player did something like that.
“But okay, again, we talked and for me, Goodman is a player, and for a moment a good player, and what happened in the past, is the past, finished.”
