Bafana Striker Letsoalo Seeks New Challenge

Bafana Bafana and Royal AM striker Victor Letsoalo is seeking a new challenge as the January transfer window approaches.

The 28-year-old has become one of the most sought after talents in the DStv Premiership over the last three seasons with 29 goals and five assists to his name across all competitions.

His form with Bloemfontein Celtic and now Royal AM earned him a place in the senior national team under Hugo Broos where he’s scored four goals in nine appearances.

iDiski Times has learnt that the player has informed his club that he is seeking a new challenge with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates among the clubs who have reportedly expressed interest in his services.

While the player himself stated the links to Chiefs was ‘just a rumour’ coach Arthur Zwane recently stated that the club is in search of a new striker when the window opens.

However, with Royal AM viewing him as an indispensable member of John Maduka’s squad, only a lucrative offer will be able to prise him away from the club.

Owner Shawn Mkhize told Thomas Mlambo on the Ultimate Sport Show last month that they’ve yet to receive any offers for the player.

“As far as we are aware, Victor has a contract, I’ve never heard of any contract finishes off during the opening of the window, not unless it’s been terminated,” she confirmed.

“Let’s see what they are bringing to the table because we have seen nothing. But as Royal AM we want stability.”
