Banyana Banyana will take on Mozambique in the first round of the qualifying games for the 2022 CAF Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
The draws for the AWCON, as well as the draws for the Under-20 and Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers took place in Cairo on Monday, and after the draw it was confirmed that Desiree Ellis’ team will start against neighbours Mozambique.
The Under-20s will begin the U20 World Cup qualifying campaign in the second round, against the winners between Mozambique and Eswatini.
Meanwhile the Under 17 girls will also begin in the second round of qualifiers, against the winners between the Equatorial Guinea and Kenya.
