Baroka Win, Draw In Cape Town

Baroka beat Marumo Gallants, but it was points shared between Cape Town City and SuperSport United in the two late DStv Premiership games on Saturday.

Cape Town City 0-0 SuperSport United

At the Athlone Stadium, it was an open game between SuperSport and Matsantsana, but it was an evening where it looked like goals just wouldn’t come.

Perhaps the best chances early on fell to the visitors, but City also had their own opportunities later on, however it looked like no one packed their scoring boots for this game, with a few forgettable misses from both sides.

Baroka 2-0 Marumo Gallants

Meanwhile at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Baroka raced into the lead against Marumo Gallants, thanks to first half goals from Manuel Kambala and Evidence Makgopa.

Kambala had given Baroka the lead in the 17th minute, and new Bafana Bafana star Makgopa made it two the 32nd minute.

While Gallants tried to come back in the second half, they found the going tough against a resilient Baroka who held on for the three points.
