Baxter Explains Billiat Absence

Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has explained why in-form forward Khama Billiat was absent from his side’s squad against AmaZulu.

Billiat had started all 11 DStv Premiership games this season so far and contributed to six goals – scoring two and assisting four – but misses out on the match with Usuthu.

Ahead of the game, Baxter explained that Billiat was absent due to falling ill on the eve of the match.

“Khama unfortunately after training last night he didn’t feel very well,” Baxter told SuperSport tv.

“This morning he was (looking) quite poorly, so we sent him for all these tests and isolated him from the group.

“So KG (Sekgota) comes in and Bernard moves into a central role.”
