Baxter Gives Chiefs Injury Update

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has revealed his side’s injury news ahead of their Nedbank Cup clash with TS Galaxy this evening.

The Glamour Boys are set to host the Rockets at FNB Stadium as Baxter’s side look to go to the next round of the competition.

Speaking ahead of the highy anticipated match, Baxter released his side’s injury news, hinting at a couple of returns to the squad.

“We have got some of the injured players who have brought themselves back into the frame, like Samir Nurković and Leonardo Castro,” Baxter said on the club’s website.

“They are not completely 100% but they are close enough to be selectable.

“We have Cole Alexander, whose dislocated elbow means he is out of the equation.

“Njabulo Ngcobo got burned and he will be out for a while. Daniel Akpeyi has been at the AFCON and has had some enforced leave.

“We have three good goalkeepers challenging him and he has not been considered for this one. We have some players out and I am happy we have some coming back.

“I am happy with the lads we have available for selection. We are quietly confident, not shouting from the top of houses.”
