Amazulu FC coach Benni McCarthy has praised the club’s new signings after the club managed to lure Abbubaker Mobara and Manyiek ‘Abraham’ Majok to Durban.
Usuthu have announced the two signings last week Thursday to boost their squad ahead of a busy second half of the campaign.
McCarthy has praised his former player Mobara, calling him one of the most underrated players in the league, while he was also happy to see a forward join Usuthu.
“I’m happy to say that we finally added on a striker, somebody who’s going to come in, composed, and he’s going to score goals,” McCarthy said.
“Mobara I think is one of the most underrated players in the league. And with such a unique gift, he can play right-back, he can play [right] centre-back, he can play left centre-back, he is able to play left-back, he is able to play across the midfield as well.
“A super, super quality player, I’m excited on the two players that I have added. Yes, there are some departments I would have loved to strengthen, but beggars can’t be choosers, you can’t have what your heart always desire.”
The Durban-based will have a packed second half of the season after qualifying for the CAF Champions League group stages, while also focussing on the DStv Premiership and Nedbank Cup.
