Benni McCarthy has confirmed that AmaZulu are aiming to do more signings after announcing their first two new players.
The reigning DStv Premiership Coach of the Season has returned to pre-season with Usuthu and confirmed the signings of Keagan Buchanan and Mxolisi Kunene.
But McCarthy also insisted that AmaZulu’s transfer business is not done and more new arrivals can be expected in the coming days and weeks.
“We still looking on two or three more players to add onto the squad,” he told the club’s media department.
“To just beef up so that we can have that depth strength and depth in in the department’s because of the CAF Champions League we’re gonna be going into.”
McCarthy also confirmed that he is excited to contest for silverware in multiple competitions in 2021/22.
“Finishing second in the league was remarkable. And we’re going into CAF Champions League this season, and we really gonna do our best,” he explained.
“We pray to God, and we hope that all the struggles that’s hitting us left, right and center will pass so that we’ll be able to get you guys (the fans) back in the stadium to support us and enjoy seeing your team performing in the league in the MTN8 Cup, the CAF Champions League, all the competitions that’s out there for us to play.”
Usuthu will start their DStv Premiership campaign against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday, 20 August.
