Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed that Khama Billiat is on the road to recovery after his broken leg, and he is hoping to have the Zimbabwean back in action soon.
Hunt was speaking after Chiefs 1-0 over Orlando Pirates on Sunday, and says that the Zimbabwean international could even get some game time in friendlies during the international break.
With speculation rife that Billiat could leave the club at the end of the season, Hunt says all it is is speculation, and he is very much a part of Chiefs’ plans going forward.
“Ah, he’s all in the plans, it’s only people like yourself who say he’s not in the plans. I don’t know where the story comes from,”Hunt said in the digital post-match presser.
“So, ja, he’s in the plans and we need to get him fit.”
“He had a broken leg, he’s jogging now, running, so hopefully in the next two weeks we can at least get him a little bit of game time, 20 minutes here, in some friendlies or something.”
