Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has admitted that his squad still has weaknesses and the coaching stuff are still looking for better players to be part of the team.
Despite this admission, Broos and Bafana started their qualification campaign for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with 10 points from four games.
They sit at the top of Group G, one point ahead of Ghana, whom they will face in the final qualifier.
Broos, though, admitted that he is not 100% satisfied with the players at his disposal, indicating there will probably be changes for his next Bafana squad.
“Little by little I find the group with who I will work in the next months,” he told reporters.
“But we’re still looking for better players because we still have some weaknesses, certainly.
“It should be a miracle if after two months work that you immediately have a fantastic team, this is impossible.
“We have to go home, working, certainly we as technical staff have to go and visit games, have to look after good players (who) can be more quality for our team.
“But in general I can say now that we are not so far anymore from a group of players with whom we will be working for the next months or years.”
Bafana face Zimbabwe at home before traveling to Ghana in their final Group G qualifiers in November.
