Orlando Pirates moved back into top spot after they hammered Magesi FC 4-0 while Stellenbosch FC punished Sekhukhune United 3-1 in Saturday’s DStv Diski Challenge encounters.
After slipping into second place, the Buccaneers produce a statement in their intent to win their maiden Diski title as Seth Green netted a brace while Lyle Chatburn and Thandolwethu Ngwenya also scored as Roscoe Krieling’s charges opened up a two-point gap over Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Brazilians left it late against Orbit College as Bennet Mokoena netted in the 83rd minute for the maximum points.
Stellies were in rampant mood as they put three past Babina Noko whose late consolation was not enough to put them back into the match.
The KwaZulu-Natal Derby between Richards Bay and AmaZulu had to be called off in the second half due to a waterlogged pitch at Mpumalanga Stadium. The Natal Rich Boyz led 3-0 at the time and will now await PSL communication on the way forward.
