Bvuma – I’m Ready To Play

Ahead of the DStv Premiership derby against Swallows, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma says he is ready to play if called upon before stating that the team will finish in a “respectable position”.

Bvuma has played back-up to Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune this season, but came off the bench in Chief’s last match after Akpeyi went off injured.

While Chiefs confirmed that both Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi returned to training, Bvuma says he is been working hard behind the scenes to take his chance when it comes.

“Well, when it comes to readiness, I feel like I’m ready to play,” Bvuma told Chiefs’ media department.

“I feel like I’m ready because I’ve been working very hard since I’ve been out of the team and throughout the season and we’ve been working very hard like with the goalkeeper coach and other goalkeepers, so I believe that I’m ready.

“Anyone of these goalkeepers that we have here, if they can get a chance to play, I believe that they’ll perform because of the way we working. We work very hard and I believe that we are all ready know for opportunities as well.”

Bvuma says he also understands the Amakhosi fans not being happy at the moment, but he hopes they are patient with the team.

“Well, the thing is, what I know is good things come to those who wait,” he added.

“I know we’re not in a good position, we all know, we are aware of it. But it’s not like we’re not working hard, it’s not like we’re not giving it all in order to be in a better position. We’re working very hard.

“And I believe as Kaizer Chiefs, big team as we are, that I believe we will get positive results and make sure that we finish in a respectable position.”
