Cape Town City And Serbian Club Form Link
Cape Town City has announced they have formed a new affiliation deal with Serbian Super Liga club, FK Partizan.
The partnership was confirmed by City on their social media platform on Monday, and it is an agreement that will hopefully see City sending more players to Europe in the future.
Partizan are one of Serbia’s top clubs, and finished second in the league in the 2020/2021 season.
iDiski Times reached out to City and the club’s Managing Director, Michel Comitis, explained more about the deal.
“The cooperation between FK Partizan and Cape Town City bridges the gap between African and European football,” Comitis told iDiski Times.
“FK Partizan has one of the most respected youth academies in global football.
“The partnership will allow for an exchange of expertise to improve elite talent development in South Africa, while creating meaningful pathways for African players to move and succeed at the highest level in Europe.”
