Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has praised Katlego Ntsabeleng’s consistency and attitude saying the side will definitely need the player in the future.
The 28-year-old arrived on loan from FC Dallas in the MLS last August but hasn’t enjoyed as much game time with the competition for places upfront at Sundowns.
He has so far featured in eight matches across all competitions including the CAF Champions League and has two goals and two assists.
One of the goals, his first in the Betway Premiership, the sole goal away at Durban City on Tuesday, in his second start in a row since February. The goal secured maximum points and ensured the defending champions remained on top of the log with 56 points.
Cardoso said he’s been impressed with the striker’s mentality, patience and hard work in training.
“Tsiki we knew he’s a player with quality,” said Cardoso.
“He has to adapt to our way of playing and also he had to wait for the opportunity. And in the absence of other players of course he got the chance he did well.
“He’s been training very consistently. I really praise the boy for the attitude that he has. Since January when we restarted the season he came on the right spot, the right position mentally.
“And God protects the ones that dare to do and he’s doing well. And for sure we will need him for the future for sure.”
