Former Orlando Pirates skipper Tonic Chabalala has hailed the Buccaneers’ star Thembinkosi Lorch after his return from injury.
Lorch returned to the field towards the end of the last year after he had picked up a shoulder injury after a “freak accident” at home – and has now played six games with two assists.
Chabalala, who does not feel like Pirates needs to make any January signings, says Lorch is a key player at the club and has shown his class since he made his return this season.
“If you can see, when there is Lorch at Pirates something good happens, he’s a good player, and he is very important player for the team,” Chabalala told iDiski Times.
“There is this game where he was there, you could see he can take a responsibility of the team.
“Lorch is one player who can put pressure on himself and take a responsibility, so there must be someone like him who can put pressure on the opponents.
“There must be that kind of player who gives the problem to the other club, when he is available, the opponents know that there is someone in that team who will give us a problem.”
