The battle of the titans down in the Cape Vineland saw Mamelodi Sundowns taking the lead through Thulani Zandamela against defending champions Stellenbosch FC. Stellies equalised through Kyle Bailey before Tauric Gamaldien scored the winner in the 90th minute.
SuperSport United, who were down to 10 men after Sabre Benjamin was given his marching orders, shocked Chiefs by beating them 1-0. This is United’s first win of the season after playing three successive draws. Amakhosi dropped to second place as City soared up to the top of the table.
