Cape Town City have confirmed the signing of Zambian International Justin Shonga.

Shonga had joined TTM at the start of this season from Orlando Pirates, however it had been reported that he wasn’t happy at the club, and he had been linked with an exit from the club.

The highly rated striker had been linked with a number of teams on the continent, but will instead join his countryman Charles Zulu at City.

The 24-year-old never quite lived up to expectations at Pirates, where he played in 77 games, scoring 16 times, after joining from Zambian side Nkwazi Lusaka.

He featured 7 times for TTM this season, scoring once.

Shonga’s international record is impressive, and he has been capped 28 times for his country, scoring 13 times.
