Guinea Head Coach Kaba Diawara says he was happy with the result after the goalless draw in the international friendly against Bafana Bafana on Friday evening.
The two African nations played to an entertaining 0-0 draw in Kortrijk, Belgium.
Diawara, who took over the Guinea post at the end of last year, said he was pleased considering the short time they had to prepare, and he was also pleased to give runouts to a few new players.
“We’re also happy with the 0-0 result, we played to win, we had some good chances to open the scoring and thereafter we were facing a very good team of South Africa,” Diawara said.
“We met together just one or two days before the game so we didn’t have enough time to work.
“We’ve also got many injuries, some massive players for us.
“So with that kind of condition, we’re happy to draw today and we’ve also given starts to four or five players which were important to not lose, we’re happy and we keep working before the qualification games.”
