Amazulu Coach Ayanda Dlamini is thrilled with his latest signings, and feels there is good competitive depth in his squad now.
Amazulu, under new ownership, have shown real ambition with their acquisitions this season.
Earlier this week Amazulu unveiled two new signings in former Chippa captain Veli Mothwa, and also Phakamani Mahlambi, on loan from Sundowns.
“Both of them are very, very good players. Veli was playing for Chippa United, he has done very well and that’s why we were interested in him coming here. He is a leader and was captain of Chippa United,” Dlamini told the club’s website.
“Mahlambi is a very, very good player. We felt we needed someone like him in our team. We are very happy to have a player like him in our squad. It’s a good thing to have competition in the team because now everyone has to earn his place in the team. “
“You know if you are not doing well there’s someone who is going to take your space and it’s going to be difficult to get it back. So it’s good to have many options in the team.”
10th-placed Amazulu are in action on Saturday evening when they play 9th-placed Tshakhuma at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
