Agent Reveals Downs Made A Mbule Offer

Sipho Mbule’s agent Mike Makaab has revealed that only Mamelodi Sundowns have made an offer for the SuperSport United midfielder, but Kaizer Chiefs have not.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Amakhosi, with many fans hoping Amakhosi could sign the player in January.

However, Makaab has explained that while Chiefs are interested, they have not made an official offer to SuperSport United for the player.

Makaab also stated that Mbule will not move clubs this January transfer window, but a transfer is likely on the cards by the end of the season.

“I’m going to tell it exactly as it is,” he said on Gagasi FM.

“I said it a month ago, a few weeks, the chances of Sipho Mbule leaving SuperSport United this window are slim and I’m going to repeat it, Sipho Mbule will not be moving this transfer window – that’s a fact.

“Has there been interest in Sipho Mbule? Massively, particularly from two football clubs but a third football club a couple of weeks ago joined the showed some sort of interest. A third club and not a club from Gauteng.

“The only club to date that has made an official offer to SuperSport United is Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Yes, there has been a lot of talk from Kaizer Chiefs and there has been interest but the only club that has made an official offer for the services of Sipho Mbule is Mamelodi Sundowns.”

Makaab also gave insight as to why the Downs offer was not accepted.

“There are a number of reasons for that. I don’t think they felt it was the correct offer, that’s what I’ve heard. and the second things is that they felt they couldn’t lose Mokoena and Mbule in the same window,” he added.
