Baxter Unhappy With Chiefs Performance

Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter was left very frustrated with his side’s performance in the 1-1 draw with AmaZulu on Wednesday evening.

Amakhosi have continued their upward trend on the log despite failing to collect their fifth win from the last six DStv Premiership games.

Baxter was very unhappy with his team’s display, saying on another day they could’ve lost by three or four goals.

“I thought it was a poor game, I thought we were good for about 15 to 20 minutes and then for some reason we switched off,” he told SuperSport‘s Julia Stuart.

“We had good control of the game, we switched off and then AmaZulu got back into the game. Last 15 to 20 minutes of the first half, AmaZulu threatened without being really dangerous.

“Second half we wanted to be braver, we wanted to get on the ball more but that just lead to us losing composure completely.

“The red card puts us up against the wall and we concede what is a poor goal. But for the whole of the second half the decision-making on our side was very, very poor.

“They could have put through the sword by three or four goals because we were that bad.”
