Dolly Makes Billiat Admission

Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly has confirmed that he and Khama Billiat are staying behind after training to practice free-kicks, which has now been rewarded after he won his second Goal of the Month award of the season.

The 29-year-old was awarded the monthly gong after fans had voted his free-kick goal against Chippa United as the best goal scored in April.

It’s Dolly’s second Goal of the Month award and coincidently, he won both for goals against Chippa United.

“I really don’t know how it happened that way, it never crossed my mind,” he told the club’s media department.

“I think the way we played against Chippa, home and away, we created a lot of chances and there were opportunities for us to score good goals.

“Unfortunately, it had to be against them. The games were such that we created opportunities and were able to win them.”

Dolly also revealed that, together with Billiat, he has been working overtime after training to improve his free-kicks.

“We take our set pieces seriously,” he added.

“We practice at training – Khama Billiat and I stay behind after sessions and take free kicks.

“Luckily enough,  it was in the range that I could take it and it went in. Throughout the season, we wanted to score from set plays, and I guess I was just the lucky one on that day.”
