Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has given his views how Amakhosi should line up after Stuart Baxter’s departure, calling for Itumeleng Khune and others to return to the line-up.
The iDiskiTV analyst believes the Glamour Boys should return to their glorious days and play with more style than in recent years.
He also stated that he believes it was the right call to let Baxter go, because he didn’t play the desired football of many Amakhosi fans.
Khanye now revealed his preferred Chiefs, calling for the likes of Khune, Njabulo Ngcobo and Dumisani Zuma to return to the starting XI.
“Itumeleng Khune, can he come back,” he told iDiski Times journalist, David Kappel.
“Njabulo Blom, can he play right-back, not wing-back. At the back, can he play with four. Blom right-back, Happy Mashiane left-back. Can he play Njabulo Ngcobo as centre-back with Eric Mathoho.
“As defensive midfielder, can he play Kearyn Baccus, two attacking midfielders next to him – this boy Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Sabelo Radebe.
“On the left, can they play with Keagan Dolly, on the right can they play with Dumisani Zuma, false Nr.9 Khama Billiat.
“That’s a good Chiefs team but they must be confident. This team can beat anyone.”
Chiefs will take on Stellenbosch at Dannie Craven Stadium at 17:00 today.
