Sekhukhune United coach MacDonald Makhubedu was very disappointed after his side’s loss against Kaizer Chiefs in Soweto.

Makhubedu saw his side go down 2-0 to Amakhosi at FNB Stadium on Sunday in the DStv Premiership clash.

The coach said he felt that Babina Noko were not in the game at all, and while he admitted that his players were outsmarted, he was disappointed not to see consistency from his troops.

“I think some of our boys are not used to be on top, you can see even the consistency in our games,” Makhubedu said after the match.

“We win three games, we come and lose the fourth one, we win two games, we come and lose the third one.

“I think we are not humble enough, we don’t work that hard like before. Maybe we thought we have arrived, but it’s not acceptable.

“If you see the most hard-working players walking around the pitch without the ball and you know we are a team that is very, very disciplined and works hard as a group. But today, I think some of them won the game before (it even started).

“We just did not want it like in other games, I think we played against a hungry team. That was the difference between us and the boys also playing between the lines, made it difficult for our number six, Willard (Katsande) to brick.

“But some of our boys, they did not pitch, yes we could have maybe be done better than this. But yeah, that was our thing today, did not show up like we did in our last games.”

Sekhukhune fell to sixth spot on the table, but are equal on 23 points with the three teams ahead of them.
