MaMkhize – I Won’t Entertain Letsoalo Talk
Royal AM president Shauwn Mkhize has confirmed that there is no offer for the club’s in-form striker Victor Letsoalo at the moment.
The 28-year-old has been enjoying his football at AM and is again part of the national team, having scored six goals in eighth games so far in the DStv Premiership.
MaMkhize, though, insisted that she won’t entertain the talk around the Bafana Bafana striker leaving her club.
“From where I’m sitting, nothing has been brought to my desk. We haven’t seen anything of that sort,” she told Thomas Mlambo on Ultimate Sports Show.
“And as far as we are aware, Victor has a contract, I’ve never heard of any contract finishes off during the opening of the window, not unless it’s been terminated.
“Let’s see what they are bringing to the table because we have seen nothing. But as Royal AM we want stability.
“I don’t even want to entertain that talk. Because truth be told, how can you get rid of somebody who is doing so well on your team, and when he has a contract?
When asked about fighting for him to stay if there will be any interest in the January transfer window, MaMkhize said she doesn’t need to fight for her player.
“I don’t have to fight, why should I fight with somebody who’s got a contract? How do you fight somebody who’s got a contract, especially when you’re doing very well,” she added.
“He’s one of the best players, he is my child, he is my kid. I take pride when all my kids are doing very well. I’m an extended mother to everybody.
“I become a mother to everywhere I go. So, every mother takes pride when their children are doing very well, I’ve been very happy and very proud of what he has been doing.”
