Mbatha Blames Players For Bad Results
TS Galaxy FC veteran Lindokuhle Mbatha said the players should take the responsibility for the current situation at the club.
The Rockets are struggling to produce positive results despite the arrival of new coach Sead Ramovic, after they parted ways with the Owen Da Gama last month.
Speaking to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago in last week’s paper, the 36-year-old has admitted that the team has thrown away points unnecessarily.
“Football is very hard, you may tell yourself that you finished number nine then you think it will be easy, then things don’t actually go your way,” he told iDiski Times.
“We as players have to take some of the blame for the situation because there were times we threw away points, by allowing teams to score in the last minutes. We did it ourselves meaning we as players made the mistakes.”
Mbatha has also added that they do communicate with each other to overcome this situation, hoping to turn things around.
“Yes we did, we always talk about
remembering why we are here, to do a job that puts bread on the table, where would we get another one if we threw this one away?.
“Even if you try to move you will be told you are bringing bad luck to the other side, no one will take you. So you have to work hard where you are so that your team stays in the PSL (Premier Soccer League).”
Galaxy are 15th in the DStv Premiership table, having won one match, drawn two and lost seven games after they played ten games so far.
