Middendorp Sees Maritzburg Progress

Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp says his team has shown progress in their recent few games.

The Team of Choice shared the spoils with Chippa United in a goalless draw on Sunday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in a DStv Premiership clash.

The Germany mentor, though, sees progress compared to the first few league matches of this season.

“Yeah, of course two teams last four days ago, one zero was in the same way, a bit of an unlucky moment, but good you could see a lot of stakes is definitely in the moment,” he said after the match.

“Even for us despite we have 10 or now 11 points very crucial and to keep the position where we are in to keep the distance to the bottom to three teams. We are still in a way developing the team putting them together, defensively we are so far absolutely okay.

“We work together, we have a good shape, from the attacking side of course is some not really an understanding when to go, where to go, combination wise.

“But this is a little bit more the difficult part if you build a new team, and good but I see the progress and of course to take the point away is crucial, is good for us.”
