Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Kabelo Moagi says he cannot wait to rub shoulders with some of the DStv Premiership stars when he features in the DStv Compact Cup next week.
Moagi is one of seven Sundowns players included in the Dinaledi FC select team.
While Moagi is not in the starting line-up for Dinaledi, the Diski midfielder will hope to get game time in the game.
“I’m thankful for the people that voted for me to participate in the DStv Compact Cup, I wholeheartedly thank you and express my gratitude,” Moagi told the Sundowns website.
“I’m truly thankful to everyone who voted for me, this is an opportunity for me, this is an opportunity for the world and for teams to see who Kabelo Moagi is. This has shown me that there are people who believe in me and I can’t wait to participate in this cup.”
“I am looking forward to seeing the likes of Sipho Mbule, Teboho Mokoena, Kermit Erasmus, Lesedi Kapinga and others, these are some of the best players in the PSL.
“It’s not going to be an easy road, but there is no other choice but to work hard and showcase my talent, I will play my best and make everyone who voted for me proud. [These players] are also players just like and they also started [their journey] where I am today.
“I just have to apply what I know and what is expected of me in the team. I am honoured to play alongside the best players in the league and grateful to be a recipient in this competition and I’m grateful to the PSL for the opportunity.
“I can’t wait for this tournament to begin.”
