TS Galaxy have confirmed the signing of Lefa Hlongwane, who joins as a free agent after leaving Maritzburg United last year.
The 28-year-old former Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos midfielder had only joined Maritzburg at the start of the season, but left the club after 12 appearances under Ernst Middendorp.
Galaxy did not hesitate to bring him on board.
“I’m excited to be part of this growing club and looking forward to making an instant impact,” Hlongwane told the club’s media department.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with my new teammates. They have welcomed me with open arms. The mission now is to help the club collect points.”
His new coach is happy to have him on board..
“Lefa is an extremely talented midfielder. I’ve had the pleasure of working with him,” Sead Ramovic said.
“He will add value to our team. He is very creative and skilful. He now understands what we want from him.”
