Pirates Suffer Injury Blow

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Vincent Pule will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks after suffering an injury on Bafana Bafana duty.

The in-form winger injured himself in warm-up of Bafana’s match in Ethiopia and Pirates now confirmed he suffered a Grade III tear of the quad and will be sidelined for a lengthy spell.

Pule joins Thembinkosi Lorch on the sidelines, who has been ruled out until 2022, while Tshegofatso Lepaza is also still out.

“Orlandopiratesfc.com can confirm that Pule has missed the trip to Congo, where the Buccaneers will be taking on Diables Noirs in Brazzaville this afternoon,” the club stated.

“The Bucs medical department has revealed on Orlandopiratesfc.com, that Pule has suffered a Grade III tear of the quad and could be ruled out of action to up to 12 weeks.”

Pule had been one of Pirates’ key players this season, featuring in all six DStv Premiership games.

The Buccaneers will take on Diables Noirs in the CAF Confederations Cup this afternoon.
