Dzvukamanja: Why I Joined Pirates

Orlando Pirates forward Terrence Dzvukamanja has made it very clear that he joined the club to win trophies.

The Zimbabwean forward joined Pirates at the beginning of the current season from Bidvest Wits, who sold their PSL status. He joins the Buccaneers at a time when they are experiencing a six-season trophy drought.

Speaking to Orlando Pirates TV, the striker was honest about the reason why he joined the black and white.

“It’s only about trophies. That the main thing I came for. For me personally, I have to score more goals in order to help the team to win those trophies. So for me in short, I am here to win trophies.”

The forward also had a message to the supporters where urged them to stick with the team even in difficult days.

“They must be with us in hard times and good times. I am gonna give them all that I have. I want to keep the smiles on their faces,” He said.

Pirates will have a chance to win the first trophy available this season when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 final on 12 December.
