Edmilson Out But Mkhize And Mobara Back For City

Cape Town City will be without Mozambican international Edmilson Dove for the rest of the year.

Dove underwent a successful knee surgery this past week, but will only recover and be available sometime in the second half of the DSTV Premiership season.

City host Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, and Terrence Mashego, who City signed from TS Galaxy at the start of the season, will look to continue his impressive start at the club, in Dove’s absence.

In better news for Jan Olde-Riekerink’s team, the club has welcomed back captain Thamsanqa Mkhize and fellow defender Abbubaker Mobara, who were in isolation after positive Covid-19 tests. Both players had to miss out on international duty because of this

City are currently 10th on the DSTV Premiership table, while Celtic are 14th.
