Glad Africa Championship Kicks Off On Friday

The Glad Africa Championship kicks off this week, with six games scheduled for the weekend.

The football action begins on Friday in the Mother City, when two familiar sounding clubs will begin new eras.

Cape Town Spurs, formerly Ajax Cape Town, but now without Dutch partners, will face recently relegated Polokwane City.

Cape Town All Stars, who are back in the game after reclaiming the franchise that TS Galaxy had bought from them 3 years ago, will host JDR Stars.

On Saturday there are three games, with Free State Stars hosting Uthongathi, TS Sporting hosting Cape United (Umoya), while newcomers Sekhukhune United will face Royal AM (the renamed Real Kings)

On Sunday AmaTuks host Richards Bay.

Jomo Cosmos and Steenberg United will only begin their campaign on the 1st of December when they face TS Sporting and Sekhukhune United respectively.

Recently promoted Bizana Pondo Chiefs and Pretoria Callies will only be in action for the first time on the 5th and 6th of December respectively.

Chiefs will play AmaTuks away in their first game, while Callies will travel to Goble Park to take on Ea Lla Koto.
