JDR Stars continue to lead the GladAfrica Championship after picking up another victory over the weekend.
Nditsheni Nemasisi’s team beat Hungry Lions 1-0 on Saturday to move to 24 points after 12 games.
There were also victories for Platinum City Rovers – who picked up a 1-0 away win against TS Sporting; Free State Stars – who beat Cape Town All Stars 1-0 in Bethlehem; and Venda Football Academy, who beat Black Leopards 2-1.
On Sunday second-placed AmaTuks came from behind to beat Pretoria Callies in a Tshwane derby, with Luvoyo Phewa getting a brace for Tuks.
Zeca Marques’ Tshakhuma side picked up a much needed win as they beat Polokwane City 2-0, while there away wins for Uthongathi, who beat bottom-placed Jomo Cosmos 3-1, and Richards Bay, who won 2-1 at Athlone Stadium against 15th-placed Cape Town Spurs.
