Goss Working Hard & Waiting For His Chances

After making his Mamelodi Sundowns debut against Stellenbosch in the Nedbank Cup two weeks ago, Ricardo Goss says he is learning a lot at the club, and from Denis Onyango especially.

The Bafana Bafana international joined Sundowns from Bidvest Wits at the start of the season.

He has had to wait his turn though, as Onyango has been in superb form.

“Making my debut for the club was a great achievement for me, I have been working hard, getting ready for when I get the chance,” Goss told the club’s website.

“It felt great on the day and we won and progressed to the next stage of the tournament.”

“We have been working as a collective, we have been getting good results and that is what we fight for every game.”

“It also goes down to hard work and the talent that we have in the team, it feels good to be playing for a team that is doing well.”

Goss has high praise for Sundowns first choice Onyango, and he says he is learning from the Ugandan International every day.

“He has been doing well and proving why he is one of the best in the continent. For me, I want to learn as much as I can from him, support him in every game and at training.”

“He has been fantastic and humble with all the keepers at the club, we have been working together and pushing each other. I am happy to be under his wing and learning from him.”
