JVW Girls returned to winning ways in the Hollywoodbets Super League with a 4-1 humbling of Coal City Wizards.
The rookies moved up to fourth place on the log with 39 points from 20 matches. Wizards remain in 11th place with 20 points from 21 games.
First Touch Academy dropped to fifth spot on the table with 38 points in 22 outings. The Limpopo side dropped points this past week first in the 1-1 draw with the University of Western Cape (UWC) in mid week and the 1-0 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies at the weekend. Celtic are right behind the Academy on the log with 35 points in 23 outings.
Meanwhile UWC remained in third place with 42 points after their 3-0 victory over MaIndies Ladies at home. UWC have played 20 matches while MaIndies who remained in eighth spot with 28 points have played 23.
Elsewere Thunderbirds Ladies handed Tsunami Queens their 20th defeat of the season in Harrismith at the weekend. The 2-0 result sees the Eastern Cape based outfit in number seven on the stadiings with 32 points from 22 games, while the Queens’ remain at the foot of the table with eight points in 24 encounters.
In the capital city Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) won 2-0 against Richmond United, a result that took their point tally to 46 in second position from 21 matches. United are placed 10th with 23 points from as many outings.
Meanwhile Durban Ladies and Golden Ladies shared spoils in the 1-1 stalemate, to remain in 12th and 13th places on the log, with 20 and 16 points, from 22 and 23 games respectively.
