Hunt Praises Parker’s Performance

Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt says Bernard Parker was fantastic against SuperSport United, but feels the team should have got the victory on Saturday.

Chiefs and SuperSport played to a 1-1 draw.

The draw did end a run of three defeats for the Amakhosi.

“Well I thought we were good, we should have won the game, you know,” Hunt said after Saturday’s game.

“But then again, we make an unbelievable stupid error, pulling a guy in the box, and you give a penalty away. But we should have won the game, by a comfortable score, we all know that, if you watch football, but every week we have chances and we don’t score.”

“A difficult game, they’re top of the league. We played well, first half very good. I mean, some of the chances and the movements, you know, was very good, but you know, it’s all good playing well, we need points, you know, and obviously, we didn’t get them.”

“Bernard Parker was man of the match today. I thought he was fantastic. Playing him in centre midfield because we don’t really have (options), played him there and he was fantastic. You know, he’s he was really good.We obviously looked to try and get in the box, but obviously that’s not going to be his forte, but he played very, very well today.”

Meanwhile Parker also had something to celebrate off the pitch, as he completed his marketing qualification with Boston City Campus.
