Hunt Remains Positive Ahead Of Swallows

Ahead of Sunday’s DStv Premiership match against Swallows, Chippa United head coach Gavin Hunt says while it won’t be easy, he remains positive about the team.

Chippa are currently 14th, one point behind 13th placed Swallows, with both teams having only won once this season.

Hunt says it won’t be an easy game, and while it is a Chippa home game, it feels like an away match, as they have to travel to East London by bus.

“No it won’t be easy at all,” Hunt told the club’s media department.

“And obviously, it’s a home game, but it’s an away game for us. You know, they fly one hour, we travel four hours in the bus. So it’s obviously not easy. I mean, that is what it is and get on with it.”

Hunt says they want to bounce back after losing 4-0 to Kaizer Chiefs last weekend, but he says there were positives from that game despite the scoreline.

“Ja, we prepared normally, I came away from the Chiefs game still in a very positive mindset,” he said.

“I think we created a lot of chances we just made three, four big errors.

“But if you look at all the everything else, we did, well. Certainly, but if you look at the scoreline, people just look at the scoreline, don’t look into the game itself.

“But I thought there’s other things we need to work on, but we create a lot of opportunities.”
